Evaluating the Electrical Signals of the Heart
Cardiac arrhythmias typically result in altered electrical activation of the heart. It is this altered activation that assists physicians in diagnosing the origin of your arrhythmia. The propagation of the electrical impulse through the heart as seen by an EKG strip during normal sinus rhythm is classically depicted below.
